About the Role

Bourke & District Children’s Services operates Childcare, Preschool and Mobile playgroup and are currently recruiting for two Centre Administration Officers, this is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, vibrant, and dynamic team.

Your responsibilities include supporting a Centre Director to maintain strong family partnerships all while consistently delivering a high standard of customer service.

 

  • Answering the phone and attending to parent, educator, queries

  • Supporting new enrolments in Xplor

  • Managing centre wait lists through Xplor

  • Manage the filing of regulatory documentation

  • Supporting the Centre Director in all administrative duties as required

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with families and staff

  • Assisting with compliance documents for the service.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Excellent communication and computer skills in all Microsoft Office systems

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in a systematic manner and work autonomously

  • Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking

  • Experience with Xplor or a CCS program would be an advantage

  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload and manage a busy, fast-paced environment with a smile and positive attitude.

  • Complaints handling

  • Database management

 

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with Xplor or a childcare management system is preferred

  • Understanding of childcare subsidy is highly regarded

  • Experience using Smartsheet

  • Experience with rostering in the workplace

Requirements

  • Hold a current class C, P1 or P2 drivers licence or be eligible to obtain.

  • Have clearance to work with children, as verified through a current Working With Children Check.

  • Criminal record check or consent to a criminal record check prior to commencing employment

  • Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia.
