ABOUT US:
Bourke & District Children’s Services operates a Childcare, Preschool, Mobile playgroup and Toy Library servicing Bourke and wider communities.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role you will:
-
Work with the Directors to plan and cook seasonal, nutritious meals to support children’s health and wellbeing
-
Understand requirements including:
-
medical conditions
-
food preferences
-
cultural considerations
-
-
Build strong relationships with the children, Educators, families and the BDCS community
-
Ensure best practice food safety and hygienic standards are always upheld.

Employment Requirements
-
Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check or be eligible to obtain.
-
Hold a current National Police/Criminal History check or be willing to obtain.
-
Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia​.

Willingness to complete a Statement of Attainment in Food Handling & Supervision

ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role you will need to be reliable and punctual, with a high attention to detail, you will also need to have:​
-
A Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
-
A strong understanding of infection control principles.
-
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a team player.
-
A current class C, P1 or P2 driver's license
