Bourke & District Children’s Services (BDCS) is a not-for-profit children's service situated on the banks of the Darling River in western NSW at Bourke. We run a Childcare Centre, Preschool, Mobile Play Group, Toy Library, and Before and After School Care.
BDCS works collaboratively with other agencies, organisations, schools, and health care providers to support families, develop links to culture, build capacity of the child and community, nurture a lifelong love of learning and improve outcomes for the children of Bourke and District.

About the Role:
The Office Administrator will provide general administrative support to the organisation, including reception tasks and finance-related duties. This role is essential for the smooth running of the service and keeping it in line with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff members.

Answer phone calls, manage voicemail, and respond to messages.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail.

Maintain office supplies and equipment.
-
Assist with basic financial tasks, such as processing invoices and reconciling accounts.

Provide administrative support to other team members as needed.
-
Assist with the smooth running of the service, including finance – payroll, accounts payable, emails, reconciliations, insurance, bank transfers, and corporate cards.

Catering for committee and service events.
-
Maintenance of Registers i.e., Keytel, computer, vehicle.
-
The monitoring of alarms, liaising with an alarm company for codes, call-outs, and distribution.

Assist senior administrative staff as directed.

Assist with recruitment, induction and orientation documentation as required.

Any other duties within the scope of the role of Office Administrator as required.

Support Childcare, Preschool, Mobile and Connected beginnings services.

About You:
To be successful you will need to have:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Working with Children Check
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Attention to detail.
BENEFITS:

Salary range - $65,000-$72,000 per annum, depending on skills, experience and qualifications
